The site at Avonmouth is a primary sewage treatment works for the Bristol area. The plant required a substantial upgrade of the Bio-Gas plant.
Essentially the project comprised the modification and renewal of the existing pipework system and the extension of Bio-gas pipework from the digesters to the new Bio-Gas plant building.
Significant challenging factors related to this project were the high level nature of the work coupled with the strickly observed shut down periods limiting the plant down time to minimalise the disruption in service. Our experience in fabrication, installation, heavy lifting, working at height and programme adhereance were all called to the fore to ensure success.
The off-site fabrication of a range of 300 & 400NB stainless steel pipework and supports.
The on-site installation and closure welding / fabrication of the above pipework at a height of 6M.
The supply and site installation of condensate traps and compression bellows.
The renewal of a range of 300NB stainless steel digester pipework at upto 10M above ground.
Supply and installation of a range of smaller bore pipework ranging from 25 to 150NB in connection with the flare stack and associated equipment.
